It is d-day for Saro the Musical as the production, described as Nigeria’s first broadway show, will open in Lagos. From today (Friday) to Sunday, lovers of total theatre, fashioned after FELA! Broadway Show but conceived to surpass the type of excitement generated by the likes of UMOJA, Saro the Musical is produced by Terra Kulture, Lagos Managing Director, Bolanle Austen-Peters, who assembled some 100 youthful actors to tell the story of Lagos in drama, music and dance.

SPOTLIGHT - Bolanle Austen-Peters, Executive Producer, SARO
Mrs.
Bolanle Austen-Peters has a Masters degree in International Law from the London
School of Economics and Political Science and a Law degree from the University
of Lagos. She is the Founder of Terra
Kulture. Terra Kulture is an educational and recreational organisation set up
in 2003 to promote the richness and diversity of Nigerian Languages, Arts and
Culture.

Kulture, a private sector initiative is a resounding success recognized as a
major cultural hub in Nigeria for expatriates, students, Hollywood and
Nollywood stars, artists and members of the diplomatic corps.
She has worked
as Consultant to the Ford Foundation on setting up a Corporate Council for Arts
and Culture in Nigeria. Through her initiative the Council has been set up and
has received 2million USD from the Ford Foundation to support the arts in
Nigeria.
