Etisalat Sponsors Saro, The Musical In Lagos - The Premium Times, Nigeria.

Lagos, Nigeria; October 30, 2013: As part of its commitment to promote the expansion of the nation’s cultural heritage, fastest growing and most innovative telecommunications company in Nigeria, Etisalat, has called for revitalization of talents among Nigerian youth in arts and culture at the just concluded, Saro, The Musical. The Three day production sponsored by Etisalat is Nigeria’s first major drama, music and dance production.

Speaking at the show, Etisalat Nigeria’s Director Brands & Communications, Mr. Enitan Denloye said there is a need to encourage regeneration of arts and culture in the country because it is the cornerstone of a rich civic life. “Arts & Culture can be a powerful force for good and catalyst for change. It is our belief that this force can, and should be harnessed in a positive way to work for change in Nigeria. To this end, we believe in constructive engagement that an open, independent platform such as Saro, The Musical has to offer.”

He further stated that one of the objectives of the company’s operation since 2008 is to educate, spread environmental awareness and facilitate social and economic change in the areas they operate. “Sponsoring Saro, The Musical, resonates with part of what we stand for and we are honoured to have the privilege to take part in a truly conscious show, that we believe has inspired, educated and entertained the audience, Denloye said.

Appreciating the sponsors, Executive Producer, Saro, The Musical, Mrs. Bolanle Austen-Peters, said she is pleased to have Etisalat as official telecoms partner of the show. “We are happy, to have Etisalat Nigeria as a partner on this journey because when we started it was challenging getting people and corporate organization to partner. I thank them for believing in the dream of Saro.”
Saro, The Musical is a co-production of Terra Kulture and Zmirage Productions.
It is splash of spectacles with a large dose of music, dance, drumming and rich costuming, acrobatic displays.
